Yeah its unobtanium for sure. they are flippen hard. Really nice hardening actually which is hard to come by. I'm not sure if you do the hardening yourself TTnut but its good....real good. Here are some more pics. -transmission ready to go, shimmed and all. -cases ready for Threebond -and BAM cases closed, i have to admit it took me a long time to close the crank case, i got really paranoid about forgetting something. but i think its all there..... it better be. HA. Oh almost forgot, i treated the cases with Alodine to prevent corrosion. Thanks for all the advice guys. cheers its beer aclock......again and again and again.

Well it's been almost 2 years now and just getting back into it. The goal,...... Finish by march......ish. Just ordered some pipes from walms. But what I really need is some advice on my wheels. The stock rims are NFG. I want to lace up some aluminum rims front and rear but 18 on both ends. This means I will need some custom spokes. I know I could send my hubs to buchanans but the price is high for labour and rims. Have any of you laced an 18 to the front before? What did you use for spokes? Does anyone know where I can get some 18" rims for a good price? Would love valanced akront style rims but the prices are stupendous. Does anyone have a set of rims or wheels they want to part with?
Next week the goal is to get the duc 748 forks mounted up front and the clean up a crappy set of ohlins springs for the back.
Pictures coming soon. Back to cleaning paint off the tins. Cheers.
