I've really only ridden it around the neighbourhood in Oakville - super light and feels like you can lay it right down in the turns..it's very quiet and doesn't "hit" like an H1..but it would give 'em a run for the money in the twisties..

No worries Boyz. A good discussion is always welcome. 2 fuel tap seals and a new battery later and we're in business. Its sat idle for over a year but it starts and runs. Needs a good clean out I suspect but it shows promise and is worthy of further attention and investment. Insurance quote comes in tomorrow. Yeah I'm not revving the snot out of it yet, soon. Very soon

The gas tank has a tiny leak. I can see the location. This tank also looks like its been kreemed or por lined with something. Anyone have experience with removing this stuff? Since the paint is crap anyway i was thinking off having the tank heated in a burnoff oven to remove everything inside and out, get it properly welded to seal the leak hole. Been looking for another tank but haven't seen anything anywhere just yet. Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Thanks Brad, the 1st insurance quote came in at $3400/yr for liability only. I'm an old guy with a clean record. Wtf. Obviously gonna keep shopping around, I'm in no rush. Maybe this bike will be a trackday only special. We'll see what happens....

Been looking for another tank but haven't seen anything anywhere just yet. Thoughts and opinions welcome. Cut and Paste from the Caswell Site. "When recoating your gas tank from failed Kreem or POR-15 tank sealers, remove the old, failed coating using a paint stripper containing Methylene Chloride." www.caswellcanada.ca/shop/product.php?productid=29772&cat=132&page=1If it is a pinhole leak the epoxy tank sealer should fix it. All comes down to cost of a used tank to cost of repairing I guess. Also Roland knows a guy that strips parts chemically. I think he said about $20 a pound to strip everything down to bare metal. Might create more pinholes though is the problem. browney out
