I could deal with 2000$ a year...I've never paid less then 1200$ for any bike. Poor Guy...I mean literally...Poor Guy. Having to pay those rates. browney out I'll play there game, I'm almost in the green for cheaper insurance rates...it also doesn't help I live in Hamilton, even Toronto has cheaper rates

Half the sport bike guys I know, don't have insurance...fact is they can keep raising rates as much as they want, it won't keep guys off them. I just play their game because I have too much to lose

so a 1.2 litre bike is 900, why would a litre bike be more?, is it because of classification, crotch rocket, as apposed to a sport/tour bike. Basically the category. Givr's bike is rated at 140 hp and mine is 100 so something there as well.

I just play their game because I have too much to lose you`re right it won`t, until something serious happens, it`s a very scary and stupid practice, I know I wouldn`t want to work the remainder of my life paying for someones, injury or lose, or at the very lease losing my driving privileges or jail time. I can tell you fulheartedly that if an uninsured dick hurt me or one of my loved ones, I`d save the justice system the trouble and take the jail time myself. Or turn them in and collect the crime stoppers reward, that way you`d be getting dicks off the street and be able to pay for bike insurance....

I think they should bring back Unsatisfied Judgement. Pay $100 a year and and if you get into an accident the Ontario government pays for the repairs and you pay back the government. That was the 1st coverage I ever had on my 350RD when I was 16 in 1976. Worked for me. browney out

It still think they should make a proper supersport 250... 4 cylinder, USD forks, 160 rear tire, 50HP and 300lbs...give us something cool but not crazy fast with cheap insurance

Transplant a motor into a smaller frame. 😏 Not for me...I'm almost there, I mean for people I've talked to that just want a supersport, and would gladly pay 2000$ a year for insurance...but unfortunately 600's are double even triple that and 250's are glorified scooters

I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying Steve? The 250's are cheap insurance because they don't make much power. Make a 250 with the same power as a 600 and the insurance would follow suit as soon as the young kids start to crack them up... maybe even before? If you want cheaper insurance on a more powerful bike, you need to just increase the hp of a bike that isn't on the radar.

Well we'll see how bad an old zx10 is, you never know
