Check out Jorgen's bike in the projects thread. I'm not much of a paint guy, I still haven't bothered to paint my bike yet but Jorgen's paint job stirred my belly a bit. Satin is a cool look for sure! Btw, what is a wrap?

It's like a bik sticker. It's what NASCAR uses on their cars instead of paint, it's lighter and faster to apply, so they say.

It sounds like my kind of product! Is it expensive? I assume it's made of vinyl?

Even easier, check out Plasti Dip or Duplicolor makes a product. It's in a spray can. I didn't like the Duplicolor. It takes about 5-6 coats to get a nice even covering. The Plasti Dip is available in lots of colours. I should do a small test panel to see how it reacts to gas.

You being a Leafs fan I can see that you'd be easily confused We used Pastidip here a few times on customers atv's that wanted a different color. the best thing is, if you don't like it, just peel it off

liquid rubber in a spray can. www.prodip.ca/11oz-Plasti-Dip-BlackI heard about it from some people that use it on the front end of their car. If you are planning a long distance trip like to Florida for the winter and you have a high dollar ride, what some people do is they mask off the front that is prone to stone chips and when they get to their destination they just peal it off. You have to put it on thick enough so that it peals off easy, five or six coats usually works

Plasti-Dip is popular for blacking out badges, etc. on vehicles as well, for that stealth bomber look.

brake material has separated from the shoes, common enough after 40 years of sitting around unused. sandblasted and ready for paint
