Hi all. Thanks to Zambia and everyone connected with Ned's hydraulic clutch slave, I've now got one in my hand. Fantastic bit of kit. I have a question though. I've read the posts about the slave cylinder rocking when it is fitted. I have that issue on my H1E. I've reviewed all the posts and I can see that I need my dremel. Question is, do I dremel the new slave or the engine case. See pics for where I think the metal needs to be removed. I tried using engineers blue to see what's going on, but just ended up with blue grease everywhere. Thanks all.

Hi Bill - I have not encountered this issue personally, but I do recall Andrew (Walms) had this on his 500. I believe the issue stems from a a factory machining "flaw" on that area of the cases and therefore that area of the engine case needs a quick "sanding" with a Dremel disc to make it level.

Yes, I remember having to modify things a wee bit on the rubber mounted cases. I'll have a look tonight to see what I did to make clearance.

I ended up chamfering the slave on mine. Alternatively, you could remove the shoulder on the cases.

That's brilliant. Thanks Walms! I couldn't get excited about attacking my cases with a dremel. I'll do the same as you. Thanks again.

Wait until you ride with it. These type of upgrades make us look good riding these old vintage bikes...lol

I just picked up one of these. Looking forward to getting it installed in the H2 in the spring.
Thanks Zambia and Ned.

I have also picked up a slave kit. It looks great. Thanks again Zambia. I read the full thread a few times and thanks guys for sharing your insights. Since i am using the ball bearing pusher rather than the OEM mushroom pusher I was curious if this would impact the length of the push rod I should use. I measured both and the mushroom is about 1 mm taller so there should be no issue assuming they seat in the cases in the same relative position.
