Do you plan to make any changes to the bleed valve? Mine has the bolt type bleeder. Nope.

It works OK I just thought someone mentioned you had a new design.

Here is the part number of the piston I have ended up using, easier to bleed now and fits straight in:
AUTOFREN SEINSA D3540C
I am also using the 10.5mm master, not too stiff even with the upgraded springs. I tried the 9.5 but didn't like the clutch biting so close to the bars.
Using the DOT 5 which should be compatible with just about any combination of seals etc
Big thumbs up to Ned for his slave body, would never have gone to this much trouble without the push that gave me.

"Here is the part number of the piston I have ended up using, easier to bleed now and fits straight in:" Can you give us some more info on this? What master are you using and what prompted the need for a new piston? And thanks, glad it worked out. Good to know a larger master also works.

I tried a few pistons before I got to this one, the seal doesn't catch on the edge of the cut out inside the barrel so you can push it all the way in and out while syringing in the fluid which seems to push up any bubbles.
If you do a search on Ebay or Amazon it will pull up the piston and specs (22.2mm) although non of the specs ever mention overall length and depth of the hole so I used a bit of trial and error. I wanted to find a piston that didn't need machining so I could get replacements easily even if my lathe was packed away. A lot of cars use this piston so it should be available for a good while. Got lucky on the third try!!
Every other piston I tried needed machining to get to the right length etc, this one is perfect.
Here is a list (Venhill) of the other parts I used:
2700186 167 CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER - 10.5mm 110125DS 10x1.5 Banjo Bolt (Slave end) 3/60087S 45Deg Banjo (Slave end) E645/BLACK 45deg Swivel (Bar end) 3/60100AC 10x1 Male adaptor (Bar end) 3H1200 1200 line
Line and swivel is OK with my UK spec KH250 bars and is long enough to rout well away from the heat of the engine, may not be long enough for USA style high bars.

Just run over to NAPA or any jobber. It is a brake cylinder piston cup for a 7/8" bore. You are the only one I know of running the Magura fluid. Every one else is running DOT 5 as far as I know. My local NAPA store in Ottawa useless but they suggested a local Hydraulic supply place. They had a 7/8" piston cup but you can't use brake fluid of any kind it has to be hydraulic fluid.
Hydraulic fluid is what I started with so I should be fine. I don't know for sure that my piston has failed, I just have lost pressure in the system so I could just be a leaking seal at the banjo fitting.
Sweet upgrade though, thanks for making these

I'm using DOT 5, tried the Magura a while ago but was crapping about spilling it on to the paintwork. DOT5 is the sensible option.

Does anyone have a source for a replacement rubber seal plus part number. I know it's a 7/8" bore but my local suppliers are not panning out.
As everyone seems to be using DOT 5, I'm going to switch over to that as well
Thanks

How many do you need to place an order? I bet I can get at least 5 more people to commit.

Just so happens I saw a post on FB about these. Seems there were a lot of misconceptions shall we say??? They all think Ned is your real name Dave. hahaha SO, I took it upon myself to post a link to the clutch thread and give you a cheap plug. A nominal discount on my order will suffice
