Inspiration from TTNut's 350. I ordered some seals from Jim's recommendations. Any input, opinions or advice welcomed.

Very nice work btw! Will you make more? Ole Arrri could use one of those on "the D", his clutch is like pulling a Grip-o-Meter.

Thanks Don. We will see how this one turns out. By biggest concern is the master. I would like to avoid having to use a torque multiplier like TTN. I am hoping Jim will let us know what he was using on his set up.

Magura has a line of clutch master cylinders with different lever styles, and sized from I think 8mm to at least 20. With a 7/8" slave cylinder, mine works really well with a 9.5mm master cylinder. I think this is the one I'm using: www.powersportsuperstore.com/Magura-OEM-Replacement-Master-Cylinder-9-5mm-002-p/4090632.htm?Click=35177If you have heavy springs, you could go a little smaller, but I don't think you'd have to. It's made for the fluid lines they sell, but I used a M10 x 1.0 Banjo bolt and stock type brake banjo fitting and Stat-O-Seals. I had to smooth out the banjo sealing surface a little, using a flat surface and some 220 grit wet sandpaper, since it wasn't made for that type of connection. Starting over, I'd probably look at a Magura line instead. Magura wants you to use their "blood" mineral oil for fluid, but a sales guy at Magura told me DOT5 silicone fluid is OK too, and I've been using that in it for a couple years.

Back in the mid '80's, I tried to put a Yamaha FZ hydraulic clutch pusher on my KZ900, (it was bored out to 1261cc and running a NOS system). It worked well enough on the street but was told at the time by the guys at Niagara Race Crafters that they had also tried it on their drag race bikes with mixed results. The problem on the drag bikes was that the hydraulic system would not release fast enough and the spring pressures would eventually actually push the clutch slave cylinder / pusher right off the motor and fling it across the room. Just a thought...

Hmmm, flinging the clutch actuator, huh? Well, I've had a hydraulic clutch on my H2 since the late '70s and it hasn't flung yet. ;D

I believe it was on one of their Pro Stock motors, I think, that they were testing on their dyno, so chances are it was pushed beyond it's limits.I never had any problems on my KZ.

Looks like a goer, what master/slave volumetric ratio did you settle on?

I was going to follow Jim's design of 9.5mm master and 0.875" slave.
