Great looking bike! I've got a soft spot for that paint scheme. Skinny pipes fit nice.

What are you going to do for cans ? You can't run open stingers in any race league I am aware of

Just doing local drag strip this year, no road race track where I live.
Bike came with a title and I kept all the electrical components with intention I could put back on the road someday..

Fantastic looking bike Paul! I'm curious what it weighs with those ultra light wheels?

Andrew, I plan to weigh in this spring at local scales. I shed so much weight it will be interesting to see exactly what current weight is at. I am hoping the bike is under 245 range as I believe stock was 357lbs.
Not much left on the bike as I removed everything I could to lighten it up. The nsr components were extremely light compared to stock and took little to no effort to make fit... Rz offset sprocket was the only thing that took some time to learn about to get the chain back in alignment.. Thanks to someone on the forum back then that assisted with this solution. Memory serves me correctly I used .5" offset.
Next changes in fall will be to try and incorporate KR style tank on the bike with higher profile and flat top. Change over to screw on cap vs flip and then pull engine and detail/paint satin black to complete build.
Bike will primarily be garage queen with runs at local drags for day outings. I raced my KH250 as a kid then migrated to RD'S and RZ's in the 80's and now at 50+ I'll head back to the strip with a 2 stroke... full circle... "Priceless"
No idea what it will run but do know it will sound fast

The bike looks great. Keep us posted with the progress.
Your plans for the Kr style tank should look awesome.
Is that you on the Kx in the avatar? Looks like one of the pictures from Mid-Ohio.

Hi Brad, I would have thought 50-60 lbs would be fantastic but as I pulled off the pieces and weighed and compared to parts going back on variance was noticeable and adding up quickly. Proof will be in the weigh in and maybe you are 100% correct but with so much stripped off the bike and changed over heavier components to light weight designs I am hoping it will be well south of 300. I will take a picture at the scales and share once weather is good enough here to drag the bike over to the location. Prefer to do this method vs home scales under each wheel ... not sure if that method would be accurate enough... feedback welcome. I'm a vintage MX guy now shifting focus to street builds and my first vintage build was the Kh. My site with some past builds is: www.vintageracer.ca So building a KH lighter in weight was something I wanted to try for years and if it could resemble a vintage road race bike then I was happy with my first attempt. Update on weigh in will follow and I'm sure it will make for some interesting conversation.. Paul

A digital bathroom scale is plenty accurate enough imo. If you want it to be as accurate as possible, put the other wheel on a block of wood the same height as the scale.

Sorry Pipe welder I missed your question on my 74 kx125 (avatar) yes that is my bike, I restored and built and the race was in Ormstown PQ in 2013. The bike can be seen on my web site listed above. Lots of hop up and goodies in that engine/Bike and it would haul my fat a$$ to the first turn with no issues Guys, I will fire the bike up this weekend once bit milder. the noise will be crazy I'm sure so I don't want to p*ss off my neighbors to much.. Will also get some vids at drag strip in May. Paul

As I remember but my memory isn't great, you will want to make sure that you have the 0-2/4 needle jet, 25 pilot and 102.5 - 105 main jet with those pipes. The needle jet is a must, if you have the later KH carbs with the larger 0-6/4 needle jet, you'll be chasing your tail forever.
