It was actually pretty easy.Every piece of frame not needed was gone. Nice light little seat. Mini coils, clip on bars, light controls, etc etc. Alloy spacers in between the wheel bearings, alloy sprocket, saved some more with only one disc and caliper, minimal wiring, pre-mix oil. Some off the crank. Mainly attention to detail. As I said we still had a 530 chain/sprockets and a heavy H1 rear hub. I will see if I can find a pic. Cheers Nev Oh no kickstart saved some, which one sort of needs on the street :-)

There we go. All shone up ready for sale in 2008. It was 152kgs with a full tank. That particular engine was built by me for the new owner. He is a decent sized dude, so wanted a little more mid range power. Pegged it back to 85rwhp and cannot remember the torque, I would have to look it up.Those pipes were a bit heavy, made of 1.6mm wall. HEAVY rear hub, 530 chain. Brake hose on front was too long, and caliper mount not drilled, Rear pedal was steel, grrrrr, I am seeing weight everywhere. We had plastic spacers for the fork springs, plastic throttle, Z1000 front hub and disc.Could have used a Yammy hub to save 4 spokes. Disc is only 4.8mm thick, with holes. I still have the seat mould. For a street bike one could use newer lighter stuff, like new carbs, HID plastic headlight lenses etc.LED tail light. Litium battery. The Ceriani 38mm fork tubes could be replaced with newer thinner stronger tubes. ETC ETC :-). Hope you get some ideas guys.

Nice, Nev. It reminds me of Cody's "KH750". Or maybe I should say Cody's KH750 reminds me of yours.

Must figure out where those 20 kgs are on the H1 I raced from '81 through '84. It has the same frame. Funny thing about Cody's bike: it has Nev-pipes! 😎

Cody aka Scrambler from memory did a nice job on that. Do you know what he got the weight down to, it looks light?
