I wonder what frequency it rings at. I could tune my A string on the guitar to it. Get the rest of my band tuned accordingly. The worlds first triple tuned band.

I do have drilled fins - thought it was for air flow/cooling, but was told that removing surface area could make it hotter - then I heard the story about noise...

There is a formula for drilling holes creating more surface area. The diameter is roughly half the thickness of the fin. I think it was a 70's thing.. When people liked to be "lite" headed

So was it experimenting or scientifically proven? Airflow, cooling, noise...all the above

Thought, I`d give a bit of an up date, no pics sorry. So, since July not much progress, as a whole the bikes all together, brakes are done, seat tank side fillets all done, rattle can finish for now. `Left to do is get the carbs sorted out, figure out the wiring still!!!, and fit an exhaust system. Here`s the fun stuff, after a couple of weeks of dicking around with the wiring, I`ve got functioning tail lites/brake swithes. Seems non of the handle bar switches I`ve tried work.( been a lot of returns) Recently, I just got a new reproduction left hand control from Niche, not wired correctly, colour coded correctly but...., turn on the the blinkers and the powers killed, push the horn the powers killed hook up the head light the powers killed, etc etc. Also got a right hand switch from Mach4 motors, supposedly from an H1e, not, wired correct, for Kh, not compatible. Began to wonder if the harness was wrong, got it from Triplestuff, still had the cloth prt# tag on it, 26001-117, which is supposed to be correct for h1e/f, 26001-007 is for H1e, are there differences, I`m not aware of? According to the wiring diagram I have, H1e is H1e `75 `76 stuff is not plug and play?? IDK, at least I can`t make it work. Tired of buying stuff that isn`t whajiggly bits supposed to be, these guys who are on the band wagon selling triples prts are, on the most part, clueless. And it gets better, found a decent set of period correct denco`s for this project(they need a bit of work) but for $80US, it`ll give me some thing to do, while not gnashing teeth doing electrical. Payed the bucks and had them shipped priority, they made it to Canada, cleared border services fine, then mysteriously vanished between here and Mississauga, Canada Post has no idea where they are, tracking info ended on the 11th Aug. From S. California to BC 1.5 days, from there to Mississauga, 1 day, from there to here, hold on, never showed up, to say the least I`m a little frazzled over this one. Contacted Can Post, they told me it is the senders legal obligation to start an investigation, Called USPS, they said, It made it to Canada OK, so their part is done, can`t win with these bone heads, so if they weren`t lost, destroyed or stolen, it could take up to 3months to find them( union pricks, gov`t that is), or they could show up tomorrow, I don`t see much point in paying extra for tracking, insurance, and timely delivery if the later is the case, all seems so convoluted. Vent over, cheers and have a great day Sun shine and rainbows I tells-ya PS> Just got an email from the guy who shipped them, `give it more time, after all Canada post was on strike....` lmfao

So whats the deal here Perry??? I see that you know for sure what wiring harness is correct with a part number? Didnt say anything earlier as I thought you needed a LH control set. Plus I saw you dealing with Danny and I dont undercut other sellers. I bought an H1E several months ago and sold the engine and frame. I kept the box that came with it, including but not limited to... Main harness, RH control sets with throttle and cables. Meter set complete but no key. Sprockets and a bunch of other stuff. Wish I had thought to ask if anyone needed stuff before traveling North 2 times in the last week

I know eh, that sucks,. Danny`s a good guy, one day while searching I noticed he had the harness I needed(at least I thought it was), so I jumped on it. To be honest, I`d like to see some pics of the correct handle bar switches for an H1e, every time I look for reference, they always seem different, this works with that and visa versa. I obviously need the correct oem equip`t for this bike to work with the h1e harness I have. As stated before, the harness I got refers to H1e/f, and there is also a harness that refers only to h1e. I`m thinking there must be differences between the two, in the way things connect up front, because for the life of me, everything to date that I`ve acquired thats supposed to be plug and play compatible isn`t! I suppose, with tail and brake lights working, I could always just get a hand air horn and a flash light taped up front, and go with that, dont laugh, I`ve seen that done.....

I may be wrong, but here are my thoughts.... The H1F used two main harnesses and two different LH controls.... mid model change. The initial build had same controls & harness as H1E. The later build had the same LH controls as KH500. The later controls require a different harness....same as KH500 with regard to the LH controls. The KH500 harness differs from the H1F in that it used a different fuse setup. The initial H1F had a horn pushbutton and the later H1F used a rocker switch. It is confusing and I'm looking for confirmation that my thoughts are correct.

Thanx for your time and trouble, I know for sure the harness is h1e/f series, the prt# tag on it says 26001-117- can`t make out whats after the last dash. But according to the data base it`s refered as H1e/f

No head light mounted for obvious reasons, no exhaust, they`re stuck/lost in the Postal abyss, and the carbs are in surgery. Rattle can paint (good enough for now), carbon wrap trim , home made chain guard(required for certification), 1966 tach speedo combo(Honda), `79 yammy tank, `84 vrf400rr swinger, custom alum side fillets, custom f/g`d and leather seat, messed up wiring, and a solid engine(h1e) I hope. This is it until I can get, hopefully, the correct bits to get the wiring sorted, every thing else is a cake walk. No shots from the other side, no enough room.
