Well looks like this bike may need a new frame. Now that the rear end and forks are in place I started to make measurements checking rake and trail and making sure an overall squareness. The steering has a pronounces 20deg turn to the left when squared to a central reference point at the rear. The forks and trees are true, so Im thinking the frame has a twist up in the head tube. To say the least Im a little pissed. So till I figure some thing out, this project has just ground to halt!!

Any signs of kinks, stress, or warpage in the frame to suggest it is twisted? Most times the frame will show a kink or stress of its twisted.... Run the VIN to see if it's branded.

Titles clean, not branded. No signs of kinks or creases. Just went out and did some more measurements, the frame seems ok, the upper fork tubes measure paralell to the head stock. Scratching head here, maybe the front axel is bent forcing an induced turn? Ill check that tomorrow.

Have you not got someone with a motaliner jig system? I have had a couple of frames straightened and the cost is normally is not too high

Problem solved. Loosened all the clamps top to btm, held the wheel straight, gave a little twist re tightened and all is good. Seems the fork tubes were a little sprung in the triples when I put it together. Fffew was a little worried there.

Walms and I were chatting about this last night, we both came to the conclusion about having a small twist in it! Glad it's sorted out
