It's so clean, I wouldn't want to get it dirty. I bet I could have it dirty in no time and I know it would never be clean again if I had it.

So I put together the left hand control last night. Looks just like the picture I took before I took it all apart, but it seems to have three positions. One for high beam, one for low beam, and one where no lights will be on. Is that normal?

Thanks! Should have some updates in a week or two, got the last few zinc plated parts coming back now.
Hoping to button her up by mid August.

Zinc plated stuff arrived yesterday, so I'm chomping at the bit now. This last guy managed to not lose or damage anything, so I can finally mount my coils, horn, right hand controls, headlight, brake lines, and seat lock.
Few wiring bits, a battery, and some airbox dampers on the way now too. Those should be the last parts I need, famous last words.
I'll post updates as they occur. Hoping to get a day at it soon.

So there's a 3 socket female bullet connector on my main harness on a brown wire, but no corresponding brown wire coming from the hand control to plug it into. Is this wire just not used on the Canadian bikes?

Ahhh... the mysterious brown wire!
H2 has the same thing

It’s not mysterious It’s the connector for the whatchamacallit that is directly fed from the flux capacitor

Haha, thanks guys. Looking at it, it looks like its the connection for the parking lights. The dimmer switch on my bike definitely only had 3 wires, and definitely no brown.
I'll take some pics of my progress soon. Carbs are on, all the hand controls on, coils on, and main harness on. Got a new battery filled and charged.
Gotta go read up on carb setup for first fire. I just built them up and installed them, so I'll have to do all the adjustments on the bike.

Did some more work. First pic showed bike as it sat this morning, few updates since last post. The old exhaust that I got from the PO is scratched and a bit ratty, but I think a polish will be enough. Something on this bike needs a bit of original character. And the pipes have a few battle scars but they cleaned up ok.

I have a question. I have these three ground wires. I assume the top one goes from battery to grounding point on frame. The middle one to B/Y wire on harness. But the bottom one I have no idea. Engine ground? If so where does it attach?
