When it hits the pipe, pressure increases and this can kill the spark if weak. Will it rev out at 1/2 throttle? Pulls nicely to half throttle. will almost lift the wheel. Then bogs out beyond that.

2 x 2 wire coils? Does it snap and crackle when it bogs out or is it a muted bog?

Muted. put new wires on today. No diff. Checked coil grounds, also good. Changed plugs again. Starts nicely on 2 and warms up. takes off and accelerates til 1/2 throttle then bogs.

My experience with bad cool grounds is a similar sound to being rich, and if a muted bog, that means lean to me. If you have already confirmed fuel flow, float height etc. I'd put a bigger main jet in. You only upped 1 size which isn't much, don't be shy, throw in 110's and hope it makes a change or at least shows signs of being too rich. Nothing to lose.

Did it ever run well since it was rebuilt? Or is this something that started after? If he pulls the choke on and it does not improve, it's likely not lean....

When your fed up trying to fix it let me know and I'll buy it from ya. Getting to like those things now that so many of you guys have one. Must be frustrating Dave.

I'll be a huge help and throw my 2 cents in. Sounds to me like it must be ignition. You say you're sure it's getting lots of fuel and there are no air restrictions at 1/2 to WOT. All that's left is spark. Finding the source of your electrical woes is proving to be fun. (I hate electrical issues. It's all voodoo to me.)

problem is, I have already sold it. The baffles were wrapped at the ends. I had to carve it off with a knife and it helped quite a bit. I am going back to the 97.5 mains and see what happens.

I have tried everything with ignition from coils to HT leads,to new B box.

Sounds to me like the timing, first & starving for fuel second. Did you check with a dial indicator?I would not trust the pointer until I set it myself.

Is this a generator style ignition, is it charging ? I have found with older small engines with generator style/not charging to run poor on WFO

Maybe the bike just doesn't rev out to what you are used to with the H1 and H2? Does the motor down low work well with all throttle positions or are you limited to 1/2 throttle everywhere?

I guess a restricted exhaust would be an air-flow issue that could be your problem.
