Yup, we set out to have a simple, fun trackbike and I think that's what we have here. Stock engine with some simple upgrades to exhaust, suspension and tires. I am fortunate to have had most of these bits lying around and some "creative investments" have yielded some of the other pieces. The biggest costs have been the paint and the rubber so far. I'll probably have a grand into it when "the dust settles." That's including a complete spare GPz550 engine, carbs and oil cooler. Not bad.

I hope those old KYB shocks work OK....I just remember how much better my ZRX felt once I replaced them with Ohlins Oh well like you say, probably better than the clapped out set that were on it....and hey they look period with the piggy back reservoir....and looking good is very important !
