I gotta ask, where do you find these bikes? There's nothing around here like those at all. I'ts very depressing And when you do come accross one, the guy either doesn't want to sell it and is just letting it rot into the ground behind his shed, or he'll let it go for $10,000 +. It's so maddening

Believe it or not, people call me and ask if I want to buy their bikes. Or I just post an ad on a Forum and sometimes it all works out...

Right place, right time kinda thing eh? My luck never seems to go that way. I was offered a late '60's Jawa last summer, apart, missing parts and NO PAPERS. The guy wanted $300.00 for it. He didn't know what was missing or even what type of Jawa it was, just that it said Jawa on the tank and the guy who gave the bike to him said it was a Jawa from the late '60's. I didn't take it.

Had the frame cleaned and beadblasted at my local auto machine shop. Tonight I welded the rearset mounts and fairing mount on. 1st coat of alternator refinish paint applied. One more coat and then a couple coats of clear..the frame and swingarm will be silver metallic and the bodywork will be red like the A1R

The engine is apart, the crank literally looked brand new. Sent it out to Jeff for new seals and bearings. The spokes arrived and the racing brake lining is getting arced . Ordered new rear shocks today. Should have it on it's feet soon.. Still need forks and an A1R gas tank...anybody help?
