Yeah, it is massively expensive to run a track day.

Yeah, it is massively expensive to run a track day. Right . I forgot to take that into consideration . Just sad that the new stuff would be there with you guys and not just pre 1989

I'm still trying to understand Rocket... Why would you think that vintage racer wouldn't wouldn't want to mix it up with a modern bike? I'd say it's an opportunity to stick a feather in your cap. A fond memory of my stock 400 was fighting off a GSXR 1100 on the forks of the credit... I thought he was messing with me but apparently not. To be honest, my only worry about Saturday is going down, whether it's self induced or otherwise.

When are you guys showing up? I'm thinking of staying somewhere, dunno if there's camping allowed at the track on Friday night? Don't want to have to leave my place early Saturday.

Actually, rocket has a point. And that's why they usually have a "no inside passing" rule for the newbies. You will most likely find the new bikes take different lines in the corners, they can go in real tight, pitch it and gas it. Our older bikes usually take a wider arcing line through corners. This can cause a convergence problem at the apex, so just be aware.
This was how I was taken out in 2003..........

We are pretty safe John, there is no passing on corners, unless you are a marshal like Rick! Lol

Dave runs a tight ship, and does not tolerate any shenanigans......if you screw up, he'll ask you to leave....It's never come to that , but he has had some one way conversations in the past...

It looks like it would be 5:30am departure for me. If you want to book a hotel keep me posted. Maybe I'll go in on that.
