Thanks mraxl, I guess I need to get fabricating. "Fabricate".... I don't understand. There is nothing to fabricate. Just tear them down per instructions, soak in carb cleaner, check for clogged ports, adjust per manual. S2's work best with 22.5 pilots.

S2's work best with 22.5 pilots. on the youtube video link John ground down an old main jet and used it to tap out the needle jet. I don't have an extra main jet so I need to find a screw or something that i can use to tap out the needle jet without wrecking anything. Also he was talking about grinding down the sides of a screwdriver to access the pilot jet.

Unscrew the main & remove washer. Put the main back in a turn or so. Tap the main lightly and it will push the needle jet loose. Remove the main and insert a wooden dowel outside the threads to finish pushing the needle jet out. A correctly sized small screwdriver without a rounded tip will remove the pilot jet. Too small a tip may destroy the jet slot.

managed to get the pilot jet out. Now as for the main jet...Is this pin somehow locking the main jet in place? If so how do you get it out?

The main jet unscrews, nothing locking it in. tap it lightly if it doesn't want to unscrew.

The main jet unscrews, nothing locking it in. tap it lightly if it doesn't want to unscrew. I can get the main jet out no problem. It's the needle jet I'm unable to tap out. It looks like there is a little copper pin on the side of the body that may be holding the needle jet in place(?)

It looks like there is a little copper pin on the side of the body that may be holding the needle jet in place(?) That is an alignment pin and should not be removed. There is a slot in the jet to allow it to slide over the pin.

Unscrew the main jet a few turns then tap the jet and it will start to push the needle jet out. As Dale stated earlier you then remove the main jet an use a dowel or a screw driver to finish tapping it out..If using a screw driver make sure it doesn't ride on the thread area. make sure the passage hole in the rear of the carb is free that gos to the jet ,then check the jet as well. re installing..line up the slot to pin and drop in. you may need to lightly tap DO NOT tap on top of the jet , you can tap from the side

I would soak those bodies in carb cleaner or phosphoric acid (concrete floor etch) first to get rid of that white oxidation - this is going to bind the needle jet in place. Once the oxidation is gone you might also dunk in kerosene which prevents corrosion and adds a bit of lubrication. Then proceed to tap it out as described...as bad as this sounds to real "wrenchers" - I always use a screwdriver handle as my hammer for this. It stops you from hitting too hard and busting up the main jet threads.

The reason I'm saying is because I've tried tapping it and it isn't coming out. Should I just tap harder?

Screwdriver handles were the original soft faced hammer were they not? Do what Zambia said then give it a good crack with a screwdriver.
