Yeah they did one hell of job on the coating. The pictures don't do it any justice. Need some sun shots, just need the sun first!

Managed to bolt up a few more items. Finished up the brake resi for the rear This seemed to work out too good. probably gonna be in the way of the oil tank. But looks good for now. Jim's Super Regulator bolted right up to the battery box mounting tabs, that was handy! Rear sets are on, pipes are on, brake stay is finished. Clutch cable on, carbs back on. I have avoided it as much as I can, I have to do the wiring next

Jrod, what's done is done now, but for the future when you put gussets in like the double folded one in the "V" at the bottom of the frame you shouldn't weld over the radius of the tube. That spot ends up becoming the weak part of the tube and can concentrate stress there and cause cracks.
The same things goes when you put in a single layer gusset(like the ones you have at the end of the backbone under the tank). You should keep it to the edge so you can weld it on the side of the tube. Putting it in the center of the tube can cause cracks as well. From the pictures it looks like your are off towards the side of the tube.
Aside from that it looks like the bike is coming along nicely.

Yeah I knew I probably wasn't doing the right thing, oh well. I kept the gussets on the backbone off center, but not right on the side. Thanks for the tips, the next one will be better.

The seat is done! They did an outstanding job IMHO I finished wiring up the gauges Looks good too And I also figured out how NOT to hook up the ignition box. It appears I can not read a wiring diagram despite checking it over thrice! I wired a switch positive wire to a what was supposed to be a switched negative wire and here is the result. Notice the nice hole in the circuit board. I will refer to that as a speedhole as a result of some dumb Arshole...ME It appears it may only have fried the copper trace on the board have. I have been in contact with Jim and he thinks I may be able to salvage it I just need to check some of the diodes to see if I cooked one of them too. Keep your fingers crossed, otherwise my build costs goes up.

I talked to Jim this morning and it looks like I am lucky. All of the diodes are fine so I just need to make a few minor repairs and give it a try. But Jim was pretty confident it should be ok!

I surgically repaired the board and popped it back on the bike. No sparky ran some more tests from Jim and it looks like she is fooked. At least I know the proper way to hook it up now

Well it urns out I did Fook the Iggy, But Jim Built me another one and I bolted it up and wired it properly this time. I finished her up except for paint. Have a look. Can't beat the sound either! Things I finished up -wired up the home made battery -drilled and tapped the bars for the driven bar ends -set the iggy timing -manual carb sync -set oil pump -bolted on rear fender guard thingy bolted on misc covers and tightened up all the other bolts. The only thing I never finished is the paint, but that can wait.
