My experience with Wiseco's is the skirts collapsed fairly quickly. I'm hoping for better results from the Wosener's. I'm in the same boat, currently going through a re-bore. I'm going to use slots instead of holes on the intake side this time around as well.

I got cracks in the Wiseco skirt as well..........
I read some place that the skirt of wossners are more solid, thicker.

What kinda increase are you hoping with the slot as opposed to two holes Andrew ?

The slots should provide a little more top end breathing.

You might consider making them a little smaller than mine, although no problem yet.

Makes me think I've had an idea of doing something like that for mine, did you cut a hole and machine in a groove to fit an o-ring to go between the glass and the cover?

I've seen a couple of "ahem" RD's and RZ's with their clutch covers done like this and I too think it looks kinda cool. My only question is since the kick start shaft is suported by the clutch cover, would this kicking cause any distorsion due to the material removed for the "window"

No, you don't need that I think, but you might. I drilled those 8 holes, made threads to them and used a german high temp sealing gasket compound between plexi and clutch cover, and in the drilled holes of plexiglass so you dont have leakage out between screws and plexi. This is a prototype, have not tested it yet. But it holds boiling water without leakage. The stuff I used: www.dropbox.com/sc/e6d88por1jo301z/fEEe5iJx_gwww.dropbox.com/sc/19anh1mm9dk9yf1/RLuEtONX1FAND I STILL HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT HOW THE H**L I MAKE MY PICTURES VISIBLE HERE!!! I must be f***ing stupid!!

I down load my pics to my photo bucket account and then transfer them from there to this site. Let me know how that cover works out for you. I'm very interested in trying something like that for mine. not that I want to steal your idea from you.

It is so cool if anyone thinks what I do is something they would like to try out themselves :-)
Yes, I may try photobucket instead of dropbox......

Cool Project by the way, looks awesome and I like what you`ve done to the pipes, quiet stingers hmmm, love to hear them as well. The open view clutch is an idea I`ve been toying with for my s2 project as well, had it on my ducati, was practical with that bike being a dry clutch, helped to keep it cooler. My idea was to have the round portion of the right hand cover cnc`d out, then have a piece of lexan milled/cnc`d to fit with a generous back flange for mounting with an O-ring and blind screws, I`d also have the kawi logo etched on it as well. Other than the bling factor it really serves no purpose, but I may proceed if I can find a good donor side cover.
Cheers, Rick

+1 on the cool project. I will vouch for the wossners, 4 seasons in my bike and no rattle, conversely, my h1 with new wisecos had a nice rattle after one season. It's an interesting thing about the pipes. My original wtf's that ttnut made for my h1 were virtually silent when I wasn't on the pipe, only making large noise large when giving 'er. A handy feature when one of Durham's finest was spotted.
