Must be nice to have your own DynoJet in your shop.

Yes.
My work bench gives me good upportunities to actually find out things, not just "assume".
It is a Dynojet model 150, in whicj was stored unused for 15 years.
Me and a friend bought it from a local Kawi workshop who also happens to be a major part of the quite big (we were more than 60 triples on our last rally) triple community. We got a good price, but I we dont have eddy current brake. That means I have to be careful when running 2-strokes, and plan to make a disc brake system on the dyno drum.
Yes, I have welded a couple of clutch rods, and yes I have a black painted H2 rear wheel hub without black paint anymore due to heat from braking drum with bike.
But now, I have good ball bearing clutch mushrooms, and all my 2.strokes have oil pump. That means I may let throttle off without beeing THAT concerned about seizure due to low oiling.
When running 2-strokes without both ball bearing clutch pusher and oil pump I give full choke, and throttle until the engine 4-strokes itself down and at the same time puls brake with rear brake on bike. But it takes quite a while to have the 400 kg drum to complete stop. About a minute or so.
So, a mechanical brake is on my drawing bench. In fact, Dynojet sold mechanical braking kits in the 90's before eddy current magnet brakes came along where you in fact can tune and map modern engines with steady drum rpm.
And one thing: 1mm in a 2 stroke is HUGE!!! I gained a lot with just minor transfer adjustments in the H2 motor for my cafê project.
...j.

That certainly would be a nice tool to have! I'm not sure if I'd ever find time to ride my bike though! Lol

People over her, incl myself in fact, were starting to wonder if I had gone mental when starting to cut and weld brand new 1800 US dollars jollymoto-pipes. So, I really appreciate someone thinks my crazyness looks good :-D And they are not finished yet, but the main design is what you see.

Yup, that is pretty crazy, but it's cool at the same time! Have you changed the overall shape such as the tuned length or are you referring to the silencers?

(should have been a touch shorter for more rev though) So, have only cut off stingers and welded on new ones towards belly. Then welded on 2 inch pipes and ears for assembly. Will not have silencer material in the 2 inch pipe, as I like the "detuned" old stinger crackling sound for my "old style" special. Loud, but not too loud.

You will have baffles in there, right? I have found that a bit of restriction will actually increase power. Some guys loosely wrap their baffles in tin foil which gives that awesome crackle you speak of. Great project!!

(without baffles, but with outside stingers) So, as it is now they sounds like nothing else I have ever heard before. Stingers are only an inch outide last cone, the rest is inside pipa all way to belly section. And with the 2 inch pipe in the end, you may say they sounds like old stingers, but with a lot deeper sound and quite a bit quieter

This calls for a good YouTube video. Indeed Jim :)As soon as my bores are back from rebore. Ordered Wossner, never tried them. Only stock and Wiseco. I have heard the german pistons are good.
