Awe gosh fellas, thanks it was a fun project, it`s not 100% original, I cheated a bit, here and there. After all I built it to ride the snot out of her............ Which I just got back from doing. Surprisingly, it`s pretty quiet idling, but once up and going,.... it`s a triple, ring ding ding, oh how I`ve missed that sound! Ran it up to @ 5k rpm only, smooth a silk, tranny cycles nicely, no hick-ups, accelerates smoothly, no faltering, NO LEAKS, front brakes work real good, and feel solid. The only glitch was the speedo cable, it broke at 1km down the road. Speedo worked great up to 50mph, then nothing. The problem is with a dual disc set up, the speedo drive has no offset allowance for the cable to clear the disc, I knew this and tried bending a arc at the wheel end of the cable, that`s where it failed. I`m going to see if my good friend Hendrik, can come up with a solution for me. The arched end needs to be very close to that of the throttle/choke cable where it attaches to the handle bar. Hope we can figure something out I hate not having a speedo. Cheers Boys. Cheats/non oem to the bike paint, pipes, rear shocks, petcock, alum billet head lite ears, second front disc, right lower fork caliper mounts*, dual brake lines, dual master cylinder, front fender, rims/spokes, reproduction mirrors, 90% of the nuts and bolts(ss button head socket, ss acorn) *the forks are s2a forks, I had a specialty shop do some special fabricating for me.

Ditto. What a great job Shiloh. See you in Paris? I`m hoping to be there, if not with the bike, in person any way, it will all depend on the wife`s work schedule.

Yep, looks great man! What coating did you use on the pipes? VHT flame proof from crappy tire, it`ll be interesting to see how it holds up.

Awesome job. Nice updates and paint. I am considering those ebay rear shocks too. Any views on them yet? Did you get the 320mm or 340mm? You must be stoked with that bike!

Thanx, it was fun building, and been while since I`ve done one of these. I can`t really say anything yet about these shocks until I get a chance to really ring this bike out. But for the price it`s not too bad to take a chance. There are quite a few offering these on ebay, look for the guys offering free shipping. I bought the 320mm to stay with in the same original stance. I believe Andrew(link?) has a post on here somewhere concerning these shocks, it`s an interesting read, and should help with any decision before you decide to buy. Overall, I`m thinking they will probably be as good as the originals, but with a look cool factor. Time will tell.

So got a new speedo cable made up, shorter insert at the drive unit to alleviate the stress on the inner cable. Hopefully it`ll last longer the the last one. Would be nice to find a compatible drive unit with a decent offset. Anyone have any ideas? The H series drives are wrong for the s bikes.
