I am OK at one offs, but not production. If it is successful, I have a buddy that owns a machine shop. I can speak with him and see what he could do for multiple pieces. Does anybody think it should be hard anodized? How about grade of aluminum? I am just using sh@t Metal Supermarket stuff.

6061-T6 is the stuff you want. Anodizing would be a bonus but I bet you can get away without it, at least for the prototype...

Hmm. I just checked with Metal Supermarket and 6061 - T6 is what their round bar is. Thanks Walms.

No problem... It is the common stuff as it is good for machining and strong.

Any concerns about chain-lube affecting hydraulic seals or are you going to O-ring it against the cases?

Now, how does the old song go? "Master got me workin`... one day.. maybe ...Master.. set me free.." Good work.

Any concerns about chain-lube affecting hydraulic seals or are you going to O-ring it against the cases? I really didn't think that was going to be an issue. A bit of goo between the unit and the cases should take care of it.

Don't forget to install a bleeder screw... J I am still trying to figure that one out. A simple screw with a gasket or a proper bleed screw with a seat for the seal. TTN used a screw by the looks of it. Did anyone get one his units?

I got one of, if not the last TTN slaves. Its still sitting in a box somewhere waiting to be installed. I could dig it out if you need to know something about it.

I used a plain screw and filed a flat on one side, with a Stat-O-Seal under the head. Anodizing is completely unnecessary. You can't see it, and it won't corrode any faster than the engine castings do.
