How boring! ;D ;D ;D If you have access to, or are a good welder contact Walms for a pipe cone kit. If you would like a set of ready to install classic Denco chambers contact Jim...... J Jim? Yes, Jim (He posts here under that name. Shoot him a PM) He has many options on silencer configurations and if you choose, a way to make the pipes quiet without loss of performance. Here is his website: www.lakeserv.net/kaw/chambers/J

I need to replace two caliper pistons. Diablo wants $72 each. Does anybody know of any options? Dual disk setup??? Best thing to do with those clam shelling POS calipers is flog them to a resto freak for big $$$ I suggest you install a single EX250/500 caliper (typically $20.00 ebay) with EBC129HH pads. It will out brake the Kaw dual setup and you'll save 10lbs!! The required adapter bracket is posted at the resource site: kawtriple.com/mraxl/caliper/conversions.htm For the ultimate brake use a 1/2in bore master. J

The brake upgrade can be reversed back to stock at any time (strictly a bolt on). Have a look at Ian's 750. (The usual position for the caliper is behind the leg though). J

Hi Dave. The conversion is not noticeable to most but yields a far better brake performance. more than worth it. Only my + $0.02

Another question. Is there left and right versions of EX series of calipers? I am a sucker for the dual disc look.

Another question. Is there left and right versions of EX series of calipers? I am a sucker for the dual disc look. Yes. It seems depending on what year or what model (EX250 or EX500) the caliper may be a left of right. The caliper should be installed so the smaller of the two piston is the leading piston (relative to the disk rotation). Kaw made several bikes as dual calipers with these same calipers. However it is overkill on a triple. Ask Browney about his "Plum" (Dual EX calipers): triplescanada.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=link&action=display&thread=5671J

Maybe you could run a big diameter master cylinder to make a dual EX setup a little more forgiving?

Well Moo, they don't call you Johnny Danger fer nothin'! ;D I still believe that properly matching calipers, master cylinder, etc. will allow a dual set up to work properly and give superior stopping power. I believe it's when you mix-n-match calipers with master cylinders you run into problems. Tire quality makes a difference too! My KZ has 2004 zx10r brakes on the front and they work beautifully! One or 2 finger braking that is totally controllable. Four fingers work as well, but why use 4 when 1 will do?
