Drew could fire that up in the shop and you'll hear it at you place Don... I think women and children will be scurrying for cover when this thing finally does run!! Yep, I was almost afraid of what would happen if it caught....I was running behind it using the upside down wheelie bars to push it! I told Mark we should keep the fire extinguisher nearby just in case. I think we should have Drew's GoPro attached to somebody...it'll be epic!

Yesterday we found some time to work on it and found the CDI was the problem. Drewski has a spare that seems to work so we should have smoke next time we try. We also freed up the clutch which was sticky. In our brief attempt I was towing it behind the truck with a strap in the rain, with a sticky clutch, with the rear wheel locking up....for some reason Drewski didn't like being the pilot in those circumstances...HA! So here's a slightly better quality vid of the machine....we should have noise a smoke next time.

Late in the afternoon we replaced the CDI boxes and... ... SPARK!! Don's gonna speak to Paul Gast before we try to light it up though. Wouldn't wanna jump the gun and do damage we could have easily avoided. It's sad that I'm the voice of caution.

I'm curious what you'd think Paul would tell you that 1/2 the board here couldn't??? Unless you plan to do a crank rebuild first, I suggest you fire the ole girl up!

Got a reply from Paul Gast....he only suggested we check for compression (around 135). So we'll do that to satisfy our concerns. Then it's go time!

Curious what is the standard compression for an H2 about 110?

That's way out of spec Dude. 150-155 is spec. I'm surprised you don't get a lot of DETO.

I have 165-170 psi on my H2. Too much, I get deto even with running rich using 320 mains (VM34 sea level) and the use of EBOS squished heads. So, lower the cranking pressure to the 150's must be a good thing to do.

I think I can turn the rear wheel fast enough to get a good reading...I might head over tomorrow and see if I can get it done.

You could bump it to get a quick reading, couldn't you?
