If this mounting strap breaks again, I'll be damned. Better resign my triple ownerships. Welded strap wraps around to the bottom of the pipe like a J hook hanger. 1/8" thick x 1" wide. That should do it. Enough clearance hole space for a rubber grommet.

Givr, go to princess auto and get a couple of those hour glass shaped rubber dampers, they have studs on both ends. Thats what I used, they'l let go before the hangers and quick to replace in a pinch. You'd need to make mounting tabs on the frame so they'd mount properly. Just do it.

So I went to fire up after installing the silencers to see how it would sound and maybe go for a little rip and it wouldn't start. Haven't run this bike since Paris of 2016. Put on new plugs and checked for spark. Nothing on all three. Checked all the resistances in the stator, fine. Started to work further back and using this diagram below found my resistance between: blackwhite to blue, 80 ohms. Ok Blackwhite to green, 80 ohms. Ok blackwhite to white, almost infinite, should be 75-250 ohms. This white wire corresponds to rectifying the low speed coil. Could be why Nordy had hard starting in Paris last year, wouldn't go unless kicked hard.
Gotta look through my stuff to see if I have a spare rectifier, if not, i see a Lakeland combo box in my future.

Thanks Dave! I have an ongoing discussion with Jim via email on my progress. Thanks to him I got an alternate method to test the rectifier. On the resource site of all places! The black wire ground on the rectifier was dirty and I had to clean off some patina to get continuity. I now have spark on one cylinder and by moving the red wire it will fire all 3 separately, so the problem isn't with coils, plugs or plug wires. I'll test some more tomorrow when I can get some alligator clips to hook a test light to the left and centre cdi boxes.

The mop'n'glow treatment worked ok for a few seasons until I started running this bike year round and had some head pipe corrosion from the liquid salt they lay down. I didnt feel like buffing the pipes every 6 months. Plus Curtis said black was cool. The silencers look great, thanks Jim for putting me in touch with TZMike!

The vertical alignment of those two silencers is spot on. Also how the ends are staggered looks very nice. I struggled with this on my pipes. Those are perfect.

Left and centre cdi units are bad according to the test light procedure. SCR or snubber network is open. Light wont stay on after the white wire is removed after touching it to the light green wire. I was hoping it was just a dirty ground. Follows what I found last night after I got it to light up the right plug after cleaning the rectifier terminals.

I did spend a bit of time on it to improve the previous line up. Stinger pipes were welded to line up with an H2 engine originally, not an H1. Still, if you squint one eye and look closely you may see some misalignment. Its a "2 feet away looks good" job instead of my usual "across the parking lot looks good" job. Hey, as long as the smoke goes out the back and it's smokin on 3, we're golden.
