Looking to update the look of this bike, as it happens, a cheapo Viper quarter fairing came my way....now to get sanding and dig out the 6 year old can of KawLime Roland mixed up. Been dragging my a$$ re-lacing a 18" front rim and changing this over back to spoked wheels. It'll save a ton of weight.

You might need some longer rear shocks, she looks a bit low with the 18" front wheel for pipe clearance.

Think it must be the camera angle, or the lumpy garage floor It's the same clearance it's always been, like my avatar picture. Never scraped them at Cayuga, and I did get pretty low. Well, the left one scraped when it fell off.

"The left one scraped when it fell off" 😆 Twice, and I had to dodge it both times! I was beginning to think that was your strategy to keep me at bay!

It would have been 3 times. I parked this bike after our last Cayuga session in May of last year. Upon closer examination when I pulled it out of storage last week I noticed that the left damned pipe mount broke again but was held in place with the tie wraps I put on there as a precaution. I'm going to grind it all off and put a nice thick tab on it.

3 times you say eh? I feel short changed that I wasn't right there to dodge it that 3rd time! 😂

Another few pieces of refinement arrived in the mail today. Time to ditch the aluminum tubes that are half falling off and save about 3 pounds in the process.

Time for much needed maintenance and mods: Got a replacement kimpex 907115 2 stroke oil filter 5/16" inlet 1/4" outlet. Bought a 5/16" compression fitting set from home depot. Shaved off the barb on the filter and applied a little 3 bond to all threads and contact surfaces. Viola, fresh filter on my aluminum oil tank. The old filter wasn't flowing too well, took ages to drain the tank in my oil pump debacle. As an aside, new seals are coming soon. This needed to be done first. I've used this setup for 7 years with no problems. Inspected all the connections "under the hood". Jim's voltage regulator still in good shape and still securely rubber mounted. Got some big 3264 washers from the depot for my new silencer mounts. OD is perfect for them. Drilled out the ID from 1" to 1.125" with my handy IDEAL brand hole cutter. Too much spooge to clean, gonna need a 40 of kawondas scotch for this job.

Some kind of slick machine Ant. Very cool. Just filter the cleaner through a rag and save it for me for Tobermory.
