So I've starting getting around to putting my next endeavour together. The H1F frame from Drewski with an H2B engine. Here's the bare frame getting ready to be stripped for paint. Basic black Bead blasted the top triple clamp. Put in my KZ750 rear end. And front end! I cut about an inch off some old dented fork ears I had to accomodate my custom clipons. Straightened those ears out, it'll work. Almost a complete roller. The front forks stick out like buck teeth, but it should look ok when the gauges are in. Went to rinse the crank in the cases with some premix and saw the gas pi$$ out of the outer left crank seal. So, with haste, I split the cases. Found a nicely shimmed tranny with undercut dogs, and no visible damage apparent to me at this time, save a tired old crank. More pics later, have fresh bottle of Gibson`s Finest in hand, and friends coming over, it`s the holidays!

That sounds like a good combo. Will the H2 motor bolt right in? Good idea with the ears too. Make sure you put on some 500 emblems on the side covers. ;D

It bolts right in. Emblem post holes have been filled in, may do a decal with the different paint scheme when the time comes. Found some pretty bad burning and galling on one of the shift forks. Every crank bearing is crunchy, and the play in the left cyl bearings is pretty bad. This motor would have been pretty noisy before it was parked.

I may have a shift fork for you. Let me look. The low gear shift forks are hard to find in decent shape. I have two more , alittle bit better than this one I need to save. I have lots of the other two forks in better shape.

Yes, lots of donors out there who accept cash and paypal! ;D Here's that shift fork, it has black paint on it, the other 2 not? Nice pics Antony, my Wife recommends the Activa pro-biotic yoghurt for that perfect health during restoration. Personally though I'd go with the PC no name brand like you... SoupD.

Not much of a yogurt eater myself, got that one from my Dad's place. ;D Perfect health? While I have to wait to move ahead on this project, my mental health is suffering with impatience. Got the shift forks out, after a lot of coaxing. The guide bolts for the forks themselves seem to require something in between 13 and 14mm socket size to get them out. Did kawi have a special tool for this?

Oh yeah, thanks for the shift fork offers. Once I complete my requirement list, I'll start asking for stuff.

It's a little snug at the front mount on the motor, a mm or 2 with the file and we're good. Got some LED's in the mail today from Soup. Thanks man, I'm going to put them in the idiot light section with some clear lenses over top. Will advise when we're that far....
