Very nice indeed! Peter, they look to be automotive con rod bolt protectors. I used the North of #9 approach, 3/8” vinyl tubing from Crappy Tire Don’t you lie Those are spare condoms for you and Donna

The motor assembly is nearly complete. I verified the timing (OK) and only needed to make an adjustment to the air gap on one of the pickups. I also cleaned the oil lines and upgraded the check valve springs and balls ... Unfortunately the test was not good on two of them. I have sent them to Darth for repair and the seats may need to be re-cut.

Great work and nice details Dave !! Engine looks exceptional. Can't wait to hear it run !!! The run out on yours and Eric's 750 cranks came out at under .001 when Duane rebuilt them.We fired up Eric's engine last week.It was music to our ears.Fired up on the THIRD kick !! SMOOTH !!! I have no doubt yours will run as good as it looks !! Keep up the good work.

I came across this jetting information while I was looking at the TNT chambers. I have the std H2-4 carbs and a very nice set of restored Denco's for my project. Also will use S&B air filters on the carbs. The jetting setup in these notes seems like a good starting point ...

Good news, I heard from Darth and he has started the repairs to the oil line. I also found a number of things I needed to finish that will speed up the assembly once the weather improves. Here is the list with pics: - checked the carb fuel levels - sized the new drive chain to 110 links - checked the fitment of the flanges and springs on the DENCO chambers - rebuilt the fuel petcock - assembled and installed the fuel tank cap I also learned that the ultrasonic washer can clean small parts placed in jars with a small amount of cleaning solution (can use plastic or glass jars). I found a measuring cup also worked well. Less mess and a bit faster as well.

In regards to the ultrasonic cleaner I put everything in it Carbs Calipers Cylinder heads
Depending on how dirty it is I do a base clean up first But After that Drain the water and add new with cleaner

Your engine looks awesome, excellent work I am sure when it's completed it will turn heads. I am also building a 1973 H2a and noticed the purple gas tank that you posted and it looks fantastic. I am having no luck in finding any H2a parts to bring to my local paint shop to scan. I realize all these H2s had slight variances in color shade but yours looks spot on for what I would like mine to look like. I was wondering how did you find the correct color and if you still have some paint left, a color code, brand of paint anything possible I would really appreciate it. It looks like a two stage paint which will work with the decals I purchased from Rick Bret thankyou.

The purple was both matched and painted by ACCELERATION, a member here on the board. I did not get involved as they are the experts at this. They have also painted my gold 73 H2a. Best to message ACCELERATION directly.
