Air impact. the problem, is if you push on the allen bolt you push the opposite side away, so it just spins. Leave the forks assembled, compress the fork, and no pressure on the bolt. worked first time for me.

Best way is to not take the fork apart until after you get those cap screws freed up and removed. Tension from the spring and internals, keeps it tight so screw can be backed out easily. An impact tool does help if it gets that far. Don't lose the little fiber gaskets/washers.....

I removed the circlip and washer any suggestion on taking the old seal out. I don't have any pullers at home have seen guys gently cut the seal with a utility knife from the center in being careful not to score the sides?

The good ones have a metal band in them ...and it's really hard to cut. You can generally get them to pop out if you heat the tube up (even with a propane torch). Be sure to protect the top of the tube if you are going to pry it out.

I use a large screw driver or tire iron, rag to protect the slider......

What a job 2 hrs later one off. That's funny JA-Moo that what I used. I took the screw driver under it and rags on top and slowly raised it up! one more to go.

I am not sure but the kh400 a5 was easy to come apart the spring is still under pressure it seems to be a separate unit?

Nice tires, remember they will be slippery for the first 500kms, especially in wet or colder conditions. Watch your tire pressures the first 200kms as the tires will grow slightly and your pressure will drop.

Hello Guys: Another stove top photo I was using a wench to remove the top bolt and slipped and screwed up the head. I know should have used a socket. So I looked around for bolts found a site in the states he wanted $44.00 usd for one plus shipping. I found a guy in France oh makes them, got them in 6 Days $42.00 usd for 2 shipping included. Patrick.bras@wanadoo.fr I tried them they fit Got them on e-bay he makes other bikes too. I am just waiting for 2 gasket washers for the bottom bolts( Partzilla) and ready to put it back together
