Hello Guys I have a few questions. What is the recommended idle speed for my bike I don't remember its been so long it was running high at 2.5. After I let it warm up for about 10 minutes I tried to put it in gear and it was grinding so I figure with a low idle it will go into gear I hope. What do you think. Trevor

Hi Trevor, 1,500 is a good target for idle...your video is cool, but I hope it's smoking more now..that ain't enough smoke for me.

Yes Zambia it did start working good. Thanks! Do you think that will help it slip into gear? The engine sounds good no strange noises.

A lower idle should help it go into gear, and you might tighten the clutch cable a little too.

Hello Guys I finally found a good one! I have been looking for a good fork ear for about 6 months and finally got one off of 42sixHemi. Next thing is to repaint that console.

Hello Guys I want to replace that left fork ear can I just remove the handle-bars the 3 main bolts and loosen the main steering stem and raise off the steering stem?

If you don't have another way to lift the bike, set her on a milk crate. Let the front wheel go and move it out of the way. Then loosen the pinch bolts holding the tube on the triple trees. Slide the tube down enough to cheat the old ear out and slide the new one in. Hassle is trying to keep all the other parts lined up and to keep them from falling out. An extra set of hands would help. Slide that tube right back up in and tighten bolts and re-attach front wheel.
Good luck Trevor

Try spinning the allen bolts out with an impact driver. The part the bolts are screwed into can't turn fast enough and the bolts will come out even though they spin when you turn them by hand. Worked well for me.

Air impact. the problem, is if you push on the allen bolt you push the opposite side away, so it just spins. Leave the forks assembled, compress the fork, and no pressure on the bolt.
