The seller of this bike a few years ago (in SoCal) stated the frame number was KAF-90108. A late number frame; the frame was moded to accomodate the H2R tank, part of the "low-boy" period mods to the H1R.

The bike above has period Morris Mag wheels, the real magnesium ones, not aluminum. The wheels at this point were more for static display, unless they were inspected for cracks and then coated or painted.

Looks like the front disks has the 72 x 1/2in. holes 'tuner refers. I wonder if the disks were thinned too?

Well thanks squish! Wasn't sure anyone looked at it. This fall/winter I'll make some headway on my H1R.

Kiwi privateer G.P. racer Ginger Molloy finished 2nd [to multiple champ -on factory MV Augusta- Giacomo Agostini] in the `70 500cc World Championship on his self-tuned H1R. He raced at Daytona too, & was speed trapped at 159.83mph there in `70. By `73 he`d been recorded going 172mph @ ~13,000rpm down Conrod Straight on his developed H1R, at Bathurst during the Australian TT event. He then moved on up to the H2R, I saw him rock up to our local drag strip on it in full roadrace trim, & the hot-rod crowd jeered derisively -`til he zapped off a mid 10 @ 135mph...

Well, since I got the H1R figures from the July/August `05 edition of Classic Racer mag, they may have the photos available on their website. I may be able to post some pix - when I work out how its done...

Peter Seddon worked for Korcan M/C's in Vancouver - he was a regular competitor at the Westwood Road Racing facility just outside of Vancouver and was one of the front runners . . .
