There is a guy I met at the Burlington "Cruise night" back in 2005. He was riding a purple H2 750 at the time. He expressed interest in acquiring my modded H1 at the time (before I woke it up from its 27 year sleep). I'm told he has a ton of bikes collected in Oakville including a Walter Wolf Gamma. His name is Dave Debosie (sp?).
I wonder if this is the aforementioned fellow who has an original H1R? It would be interesting if it was the bike I saw at Owensound Motorsports so many years ago.

A good friend just finished this 99% correct replica last year. "Miss March" in the 2011 calendar. Only the exhaust pipes are not correct. He has one of almost every triple completely concourse restored. Some which will never get gas or oil put in them. No, he is not from Canada. III

That's the guy I was thinking of -- I think he just sold the RG.. J

Hurley ran his early H1R with Daytona gearing at Orange County Raceway. Could only use three gears,11.09 @124mph. That was in 1973. At the Daytona 200 in 1970,an H1R hit a top speed of 159mph. Brad

And quite the project it is, Never thought I would see an H1R in my life, and there is one 2 minutes down the road I am kinda liking the look of the newer style H1R with the boxy seat and mag rims, very nice indeed
