Good call on that. The 8CH model code is for the Yamaha 750 triple sled (97-99)VX750..no reason they should not work just fine in line .

If I were to consider something like that (which I'm not) I would use a vacuum actuated valve like a modified petcock. That way you could not mess up since it has no 'off and running' if you forget to put it on prime plus you could pull the stand pipe and maybe keep the internal filter. Likely good for oil if it works with gas. I'm surprised this has not already been done by someone else.

I'm surprised there isn't a miniature ball valve with a micro switch built in... I believe Jim Hobbs built a homemade version of this. I'm with you though RT, a brand new check valve should out last both of us at this point! 😜

I for one, would forget that until I got used to using it. But as you said Andrew, with a new setup like his, you shouldn't need a back up.

That looks really good. I like the safety wire on the pump. Skye

Thanks Skye, I had a used OEM locking plate but it was pretty weak and did not want to risk it. Had my H1 start to weep after a few months of a rebuild a few years ago so thought lockwire might help. I ran out of 1/8"tubing clamps so used lockwire there too, which I doubled up at the banjo as it had weaker holding barbs. The lockwire is cheap, easy and a reasonable way to secure things. I made a stand-off (bolt tube) to better support the droopy plastic lines and secured to the OEM hose bracket with small O-rings top and bottom. DG, brake line or Adel clamps would look nicer if I had some in the right size. Kinda have to work with what is on hand sometimes and once the carbs are on improvising can't be seen easily LOL.

Jim Hobbs also did a switch mod, but it was connected to the kill switch I think. Get your exercise until you remember to switch on.

That's for both kicking over and for walking home after you bake an engine. LOL!

That's the point, no baking. no ignition until the electric oil valve is open.....

Ive installed one of these on every triple that I have had its really not that hard to remember to turn on,, turn on the gas turn on the oil, turn off the gas turn off the oil... I have a few times,, not that often where I forgot to turn it on but never made it out of the yard or to the corner and there is plenty of oil in the motor for that.. Its a great tool if you dont ride frequently and for storage if you ride all the time just leave it on.. Darth has a switch tied to ignition so it wont start without the oil on,, last time we where on the phone he couldnt figure out why his bike wouldnt start,, I said did you turn the oil on,, so it goes both ways Lol...
