^ I've used this technique and it works great! You can confirm float height and sealing simultaneously. Hard to beat! Problem with that "technique" is that you cannot verify what pressure your mouth is putting out. For the minimal cost, a mighty vac is a safer/easier solution.

There is less than 1/2 psi of head pressure from tank to carb anyway. Give a good suck on your mighty vac, you might be surprised the vacuum you can produce.

I wanted to ride my S3 today but the gas has leaked out of the tank again. I installed the Ivan's jet kit and his new inlet valves, but the carbs still leak. I guess I'll need to keep spare gas on hand!

This is the second petcock I've bought from Diablo. I always shut off the gas when parked but it has no effect. If I pull the gas lines off the petcock there is no leak!

Stock one was garbage when I got the bike. It needed a rebore and one rod was shot. It has nice Denco exhausts now, thanks to you!

Buy a Pingel and be done, I had an aftermarket one that leaked as well,, you have already spent the money of what a Pingel costs on the two aftermarket petcocks,, just remember when ordering the S series uses the smaller bung than the H series..

For the price of a Tingle you may find a NOS stock one, I did for my KH400 What rods are you talking about in the petcock? Rebore??? Are you talking motor and not fuel valve? LOL

Yes I was talking about the motor and how it was abused by someone. I got the bike in an auction. The Pingel sounds like the best idea.
