That's good info and a reminder to me! You'll need to be matching the sprockets, of course. I almost forgot that issue when building the KZ with the ZX6R wheels! Mixing "old" and "new(er)" creates all kinds of issues!!

Great link... Matching sprockets is going to be a cake walk compared to trying to find bearings for the steering head. The bearing guy recomended I try and order them from the manufacturer ....guess hat would be the Kawasuki company then.

taper bearings and grab some "O-Rings" for the forks. When I installed mine it raised the top clamp so the ears were loose and rattled. Problem solved.

Not so fast walms ;D... I need a GSXR to H1 bearing anyone have a supplier for them? That's why you should press the H1 stem into the Gixxer triple clamp. Then you can use H1 bearings. ;D Did that with the KZ/ZX10R combo. Works great!

Try Andre reproductiondecals.com
The rubber gasket will have a lip on it ..remove the 3 screws and everything will come out then slip on the new gasket . Easy

Much improvement today.......I fixed the air compressor and was given a oven so I hope to be powder coating smaller items by the weekend. My seat arrived and the frame and swingarm came back from the first round at the machine shop, proved to myself the swinger will work but the rear tire size will be limited to maybe a 150.
Frame goes back to the machine shop tomorrow for adapters to make the GSXR bearings fit the H1 stem then I can start building mounts for the rear suspension.

Time for powder practice, made a spray booth from a cardboard box and gave it a shot No I am not practicing on my triple parts.... had a compressor find it's way into the garage (as a spare) so this is it's drive pulley. Not perfect but pleasing enough for a first attempt.... off to the powder coaters forum

Good stuff, I have a similar powder coating kit that I've used and modified over the years. As you may know from other info sources, clean dry, oil free air is essential for powering the powder gun. Part prep is also key for class A surfaces. For ferrous materials, I bead blast, alcohol rub, then zinc phosphate pretreat the parts, with a DI water rinse. I originally used a old kitchen stove to cook the parts, if you can find a convection oven, that's even better. I've also seen 2 ovens welded together side by side for longer parts. Practice makes perfect.
