Do to the fact that the h1r of 1970 put out 75 hp,I think a street tuner would be hard pressed to surpass the efforts of the factory which had everything at its disposal including unlimited cash.More hp is available of course but the power band would be as wide as a razerblade. This would make it unreliable & unusable. The reeds should help to give it more power down low & widen the power band.Stock H2 is heavy and in realitivly mild tune to to keep it easy to ride at slower speeds.Bewhere H2,s you don't stand a chance. razorblade??? Wouldn't know anything about that.. but it might be fun to experience.....lol! J

I can't get in the UK site right now to show you a post Leo put up. Him and Ralf have taken the engines as far as they can go... Leo has a few HP numbers that can tell you when the H1 engine gets very unstable. Yah don't need no stinking reeds=)

But like I said earlier bud, it's the area under the curve that really matters... peak hp numbers are good for bragging rights and all out drag racing. I still would like to putt around town. ;D

I met up with Zambia on Friday after work and picked up the rectifer... Thanks bud Finally decided how I was going to mount the electrical stuff today. I had to offset the ignition box to the left because of the oil tank, plus it's 5mm wider than the battery box so I needed an offset piece anyway. The rectifer has lugs on the bottom that fit the reinforcement channel like a glove (after a couple strokes with a file) I'll drill and tap the battery case to mount that. Weld the other two on to the front of the battery housing and I'm good to go. The list is getting shorter... rearsets next.

Looks like 3lbs of rubber missing on that Batalax. Yeah, but it's compensated by the 3lbs of chain lube on the rim. ;D
