You could just give this H2 to your favourite Brother. That would save you from all this torment!

Finally have it all sorted. Ivan's kit with 112.5 mains and clip in position 2. Good power throughout. Tons of rattle at idle which I don't like. It goes away with a rev. Shift pedal is too high and I can't get it to lower. The post for the shift lever had been cut off so I drilled and tapped it and used a shift bolt from a later H1. Having trouble getting it to adjust to lower the shifter without it hitting the foot peg. Playing with that will be fun now that it runs nicely.

Good to hear you have it tuned up now. It takes a lot of perseverance to get through all those frustrating issues that come up. That’s why a lot of projects don’t get to completion.
Congrats.

Dave..Why the 2nd clip position? I found the 105s to be good unless you have pipes and the snorkel removed.

Hi Ian Ivan recommends 115 and 3rd clip position for H2 with pods. It was too fat with the 115s so I went down a size and was still rich in the mid range so the 1 position up on the clip cured that. I have Wirges pipes that came with the bike from Drew but kind of count them as stock pipe performance wise. Ivan does not even mention pipes in his recommendation sheet.Stock air box uses 102.5 according to him or 105 with K&N in the stock box.

Got rid of the loud rattling noise at idle. The small sprocket on the crankshaft had a bit of play in it. Crappy job taking off the clutch cover but at least it worked. I guess there are no excuses now.
Wouldn't be bad to sell the KH now. If only I had money....

I was going to replace my clutch basket. I have 2 others here but I found that the tabs on the fibre clutch plates did not fit in. They went on one side but not the other. Wondering if there is a problem or if it is just the aftermarket plates have wider tabs. Anyway, that wasn't the problem so it was a good thing I didn't replace it and put it back together only to still have the noise.

Coming soon is now soon gone. I have been trying to sell my KH500 since April with no results with the plan of keeping the H1/H2 as my neighbour disturber. Since bike insurance is sky high and each bike must be insured separately, multiple bikes are something I just can't afford . Last Sunday I was crying the blues to Debbie and she said to put this one up for sale just for fun. Well, within 20 minutes I had an offer and got him almost to my asking price. He came up from Guelph in 2 hours and before I could even think about it I had cash and the bike was loaded into his pickup. So, I still have the KH. I had been looking at a nice Suzuki GT550 and had a bit of extra cash and I know I have time on my hands this winter so.... I haven't had time to get attached to the H1/2 but I will miss it I am sure. I know that this is an entirely different bike but time will tell with the Suzi too.

You should call this one, "going soon". I think I am going to make a T-shirt for myself with that line on it.

You should call this one, "going soon". That's what happens when you need money Andrew. Something has to go. Plus , when you need something to keep you busy in the winter months since hockey is no longer a possibility , working in the garage is a good time waster. I'll take one of those shirts too Ian....
