So all three are sparking?
When I was building the 400/500, I had the same issues, I ended up getting a Lake Land ignition system and new coils. Worked great, after I got the harness sorted. If I remember correctly, my issue turned out to be crossed wires or not connected correctly up in the rats nest in the head light pot.
I spent literally 3 weeks of after work and weekends trying to figure out what the f was going on. So I feel your pain Dave, we`ve all been there once or 10 times.
good luck

Hi Perry
Right now only 2 are sparking but I am pretty sure that the ignition box for the centre cylinder is bad. Ohmeter reads good for the low speed coils . When I put the red wire from the left side to the red for the centre cylinder, it sparks too.
I have acouple good individual boxes coming soon. Then hopefully I can get the rest of this Frankenbike done.

Spark on all three. Next is the back wheel and sprocket alignment. Almost there... until the next problem arises

I t is hard to believe because the whole bike is more apart now than before but I am looking at near completion. Tires on Monday. With the price, I think the King or maybe even Steve McQueen used to own them. Chain, missing sprocket and oil pump covers next week. Arrangements for the chain guard, the last piece required, have been made. Painted the pipes today.
Can't wait for the next problem to come up.....

You seem to be well on top of this now. It’s not like you don’t have something else to ride.I’m sure it will be finished before the weather gets to warm. Brad

Just to prove I don't just sit around all the time. Basically finished. I have to arrange to have a chain guard shipped and add fuel lines. Lots of patina. Not sure if I really like the dents etc but there will be lots of time next winter if I change my mind on it.

I'm really curious to see how it works with the stiffened frame and H2 engine. Of course, that is only if I can get it to run......

I didn't realize it had an H2 mill stuffed in there... that raises the cool factor quite a bit!

I didn't realize it had an H2 mill stuffed in there... that raises the cool factor quite a bit! Yes Andrew, Drew doesn't mess with regular bikes. I seem to have the rear wheel and brake sorted out too. If it ever warms up again I will try to start it . BTW, what mixture should I use for initial start-up? I was thinking maybe 40:1.. until the pump starts pumping and the neighbours are choking on smoke....
