Not too long ago I went out to Buffalo NY and picked up this FBG H1 500 DRAG BIKE.It was owned by a FAST BY GAST employee that worked there. It was five miles away from FBG.It was regularly, and recently, raced at Lancaster Drag Way, and had a stack of trophies !! I was able to get one of the "class winner " trophies with the bike.It has the usual FBG modifications and has an air shifter etc...As you can see it is an old school Drag Bike.I am going to reconfigure it and change a few things a bit to personalize the bike.Yet still have that old school retro Drag Bike look. This is one scary FAST H1 500 !! Plans are to make it even FASTER !! It will STILL be a "DRAG BIKE" !!

Thanks for sharing interest in the bike.I plan to do some upgrades and detailing. For sure it will remain a Drag Bike.I have other bikes that be drivers.I will drive it on the street too, though, just not in the corners hard !! LOL.I don't plan to be an "every" weekend Drag Racer. But I do plan to go to the track once in a while. It be just plain fun to have it around too !!

I thought this bike looked familiar.... He was pitted next to me a few years back at Lancaster. It belonged to an old Veterinarian who raced on the weekends for a hobby. Guess he must have sold it to the guy at FBG. Great score!
When the dealer asks you to race for them

Yup that is the guy !!! Cool picture. I bought the bike from HIM !! NO he didn't sell it to the guy at FBG. He told me a guy that worked at FBG originally owned the bike, and "HE bought it", a long time ago,"from the guy that worked a FBG" that built the bike .He lives about 5 minutes away from FBG shop. The guy no longer works as a veterinarian. He is retired now. And drives a school bus part time. Real nice guy !! He was happy to see the bike go to someone that would appreciate it and make use of the bike. Thanks for posting that picture COOL !!

THANKS !! For the picture and the added info.He is a really nice guy !! He must have been really good at the track.Because he had a big stack of awards and trophies from Lancaster etc..!! Come to think of it now.I don't think he was a veterinarian.I recall now he was/is a pharmacist and had worked at a pharmacy. But retired and driving kids to school,a bus driver.

I am trying to "identify" The front end on my Drag Bike and the wheel ? The guy that sold me the bike, bought it from FBG just the way it is, and does not remember what the front forks are and the front wheel, what year and type of bike they are from ? He did say that it might have been off a KAWASAKI ? Does the front end IE: forks and front wheel look familiar to anyone ? Help me figure out what it is ? Tell me what they are, and what bike they are from ?? THANKS

The wheel should have some markings on it. Most three spoke mags were from the late 80's to the late 90's That wheel only has one disc, indicating a small bike likely 250 or under.I would guess Suzuki or Yamaha although it looks similar to the 1990 honda vtr 250
