Thanks Randy.Duane gets all the credit for the 400 project. He did ALL the work on it including the paint !! The bike was literally in boxes when he got it.It is looking better and better every time he works on it. I have been gradually improving on the H1 500 I bought last year.It will be my driver until I finish one of my other projects.Seeing pictures of your bike.It looks real nice too !! I will for sure get out to Cornwall and visit you guys.We just have to figure out a time when you are not out enjoying the hockey events.

Thanks for showing interest in the bikes. All of us getting together should make for a nice gathering and cruising this summer. It would be a blast showing up at the Vintage bike show in Ormstown with a bunch of two strokes !! Ormstown is in pretty close proximity.Maybe Adam will have his bike ready for then ?

Thanks.Glad you guys like the paint work.I was hoping you would.Duane duplicated the factory process as closely as possible. It is not a solid color. It has the correct bases including the peral white and candy blue.It has that, for lack of a better term, slightly transparent look like the originals.Duane is an excellent painter with 30+ years experience. He does All the paint work at our Muscle Car Restoration shop. And the cars he has painted have had a lot of magazine coverage including cover features on the cover of Hemmings Muscle Machines. One of the HMM cover feature cars won a concours gold award at the MCcan Corevette and Muscle Car Nationals in Chicago.Adam CANKAW had his GS painted in our shop and Duane recently did some work on Adam's purple 73 H2 gas tank. When Duane did the tank and tail piece for his blue 400 triple he did it ALL by hand, the tank center and stripes on the tail panel are NOT stickers they are painted. It is all paint done with fine line masking tape. Working on some Yamaha RD & RZ 350 body panels now.And going to do the body panels for my H1 500 Hot Rod in the near future.Randy, we will make sure you will be one of the first ones to see the H2 when it is completed.THANKS

Thanks Trevor.Yeah those pictures are from last winter.Duane's bike looks even better now.My grand parents lived in Cornwall. On George ST just off Toll Gate near where the Drive In Used to be, just before the rail road tracks.I used to drive out there to visit on my 500 back then.We will have to plan to ALL get together when we visit with Randy.

Moved on to inspecting the engine and splitting the cases on the 1972 H2 750 that will wear the tank and side covers pictured. It is a 6800 Mile bike that was parked in 1975.Pretty amazing to find everything in good condition. There is virtally no trans wear including the shift forks.Doing a quick rebuild on the crank in the shop right now.Even the cylinders are good to go back together with the standard bore.Nice to have a realively quick and easy basic rebuild !!
