I have the front brake working now. I used the master from my H2 as I recently replaced it with a new larger bore master for the dual discs and just cleaned up the inside of the caliper and renewed the seals and rubbers. The rear wheel is off for new bearings. And I might polish the rim a bit more. I don't want it to look too nice.

Looks great. Reminds me of my high school days. That was the first street bike that I ever rode. S2keith had it and his buddy had the same one so I scored an orange one. The best memories on those bikes.
I must have just missed you when you dropped in at Givr's on his birthday bash day with the S2 in the truck.

My first bike was a 72 S2 I had 11 years ago when I was 16!! I loved it right up until it grenaded hard on a back country road and it got sold for parts.

I popped in on Saturday for a quick visit and a peek at the S2. It's actually ridiculous how bright and clean the paint is. If it wasn't for a few little rub marks and the stickers, it would look just as it rolled off the showroom floor. Sickening actually.

I had the front end apart to do the steering head bearings and changed the oil in the forks. New front tire! And the Unis from my old H1 carbs fit.

Good eye Curtis, can someone tell why on a motorcycle...the front and rear tread patterns are reversed from eachother? I always wanted to know that

Tire looks correct to me... Maybe the patterns are reversed because the front is patterned for braking and the rear for acceleration?
