I was thinking about mounting the box to the frame( with rubber) and using weather stripping around the carbs, making a flange on the box for them to sit in...do you guys think that would be be enough movement for a rubber mounted h1?

Jesus, don't thoughs filters kinda limit your power? I think an airbox may be more beneficial for you

I was thinking of building a box, but Jim Hobbs gave me an idea, or one I'm stealing from him....LOL. And yes they are restrictive, but the motor still had great power.

yes they are restrictive, but the motor still had great power. At least you have good power! I chased jetting issues for a couple years before I pitched the squished UNI's The larger spring of the sock style UNI's that fits over the bell gives you a bit more room to angle them out... Kind of an ugly solution but functional.

Fix those filters and you might get a 3rd gear power wheelie!
