Track riding can effect street riding in both good and bad ways. One get more experience, in controlling the bike, and getting used to high speed riding. The down side is we mentally get used to not thinking about the hazards of the street. As we know on the track there is no oil, gravel and such. (supposedly)

(supposedly) +1 couldnt have said it better myself! was to busy thinking on how i would form a line through that corner if i were speeding through it instead of noticing it wasnt an appropriate spot for front braking!!

The handlebar isn't a bad place to mount one.

Last year I dropped my buddies brand new gsxr because I thought I was in neutral( my bike being an h1, shift pattern different) I almost wrecked my bike, my brother's r1 coming in my drive way. I managed to take most of the brunt with my leg...just a few scratches but I felt like an not a very nice person, all is well now. If you ride...you gonna fall...lol

he said it himself " i gotta get rid of these tires there no good for the track" There for sale . They only have 5 miles on them . That includes the burn in . I calculated it . I am completely correct at judging the tires at being 5 miles of use . Seriously they only have 5 miles on them ...

so it appears my luck is better on the track then the roads! needed to go get smokes and thought hey its somewhat nice why not take the bike! then thought well its kinda cold i might aswell wear my leather jacket that i never ever wear! 20kph into a easy corner and i lost my front tire in the gravely shit on the corner! dumped it on the right side i stayed in one spot but got to hear the lovely sound of my bike skidding accross the ashfault! 2 blinkers scuffed case and a nice x pattern down the side of my pipe!!! picked it up and fired up and road home!! all in the name of motorcycles i guess!! id rather dump it at 20k by fluke then highside a car pulling out!! could have been worse atleast im still smiling from that adrenaline filled trackday Most accidents happen close to home . I never leave the house without that thought in my head whether I am walking driving or riding ... My 2 centz Oh and check your mirrors whislt braking . There is always an a$$hole behind you

The handlebar isn't a bad place to mount one. Ya, I might be able to try that on my 550 where I have enough handlebar room, but the Mongrel has clip-ons... no room there. The helmet mounted camera actually works well once out on the track, but on the road it's a little 'dizzying' with all the shoulder checks.

The reason I'm not crazy about mounting it on the helmet is you can't tell your lean angle in the video. It's kinda interesting to see when you're leaning a lot, versus when you thought you were leaning a lot.
