And the front still has them also lol ... Man that track does not wear your tires at all . Must be all that oil just waiting for the rain to come up from the ash fault . I stayed until 8:30 watching the cars . I guy in a mazda blew up his engine lol and a great big black caddy killed a c6 corvette . Also one of the car track instructors was out on the track in a kick ass mazda rx I think . He goes close to the wall like me lol as we should ... Also another note . Some guys are not keen on riding the circuit . Well there's a nice 1/4 mile drag strip just beside the circuit and for $15 you can scoot down that runway on Friday nights . I am definitely taking the bikes down it next year . It's all automated at the starters gate . Just move the front wheel into position and when you get the white light at the top , the rundown cycle will begin so rev your bike around 4 or 5 grand and slip the clutch like a basturd to keep the front down whilst adding more gas releasing the clutch in unicin ... Looks like fun and one for the bucket list I would say ... It runs until 11 pm friday night ... One car went down there at 10:30 and shook the hell out of the ground and my tent . I wonder what it was as I amazingly fell asleep before it finsihed its run ...

...so rev your bike around 4 or 5 grand and slip the clutch like a basturd to keep the front down whilst adding more gas releasing the clutch in unicin... I asked Tony N. how he managed to launch triples so well. He said the trick is to take the RPM above the powerband before you let out the clutch, and bring it down into the powerband as you launch! Maybe someday I'll get the nerve to try that.

The bad of the day for me was brake fade in the 2nd session... Not good when barreling down on turn 2! I probably cooked them on turn 1. That's interesting. Now I'll quit promoting a single disk with an EX caliper, if the person asking plans to use his brakes in a racing application. I've been wondering if/when someone would reach the limit with thinning and removing "excess" disk material in a single disk setup. I have a single EX caliper and a Honda CR125 (3mm thick) disk on my DT100, and was able to make it fade coming down Wheelie Hill at Deal's Gap, with one mightly 60-0 stop. I have not been able to make it fade on the go-kart track, however. Edit: Those are EBC HH pads, correct?

It's the only time it's ever happened to me as well. The next session, it was fine again. Remember that I have the smaller 400 disk too.

Yeah, they recover as long as they don't get too ridiculously hot. But it does point out the location of the line we don't want to cross, doesn't it?
