A true "barn find", I have a 75' H1 also, looks like yours will restore nicely, but you gotta lose that backrest... SoupD.

Great potential. It's complete with all of the expensive and hard to find parts. I bet those pipes will shine like new with a little work. Gotta agree with SoupD about that backrest. Luckily the original grab bar is under it.

Yes the backrest will be gone . Back then I was a skinny little guy and had a tough time with passengers always pulling me off when accelerating so it came in handy at the time .

Ok guys .You got me laughing now . By the way this is my bike that I bought brand new in 1975 in Ottawa when I was 17 years old and it has sat in my parent's barn for the last 34 years rusting . My first engine blew up so the second engine is in it now , but will need a complete rebuild even though it runs . I still have the original motor . Who do you guys recommend to rebuild my motors . Who do you guys recommend to rebuild my motors . Rick Yates has been known to rebuild engines. Most of the guys here do their own work. Pretty much the only thing that's beyond my grasp is crank rebuilding and stator rewinding. Everything else is pretty much simple part replacement. If you have some mechanical aptitude, take the time to read a Glenn's manual, take apart your blown up engine to learn on, and rebuild it yourself. That's what I did. I am using Evapo-Rust . Works like magic so far on anything rusted . I just let it soak for a few days in the stuff and then just rinse it off with water and dry it off . You can buy it at LeeValley Tools . Not cheap to buy though . I have spent around $ 200 so far. I am going to get a used bathtub and fill it with Evapo-Rust and put my exhaust pipes in there for a few days and see how they come out . I will post some picks when I have them in there soaking and when they are done . www.leevalley.com/

I have had pretty good results with fine steel wool and chrome/metal polish. That stuff at lee valley probably gives better results though. You wouldn't happen to have an RG500 would you?
