Hey Drewski . Thanks . Your H2 is friggin amazing . Now that is way more work than what I am doing . Mine is just going back to close as stock as to when I bought it . I want to ride what I remember . Ill handling . (I acctually got a big kick out of that ) Fouled plugs , blue smoke in the mirrors , and lot's of bald back tires , and a front wheel never on the ground . Saying all that , I believe your H2 will be able to FLY !!!!!!!!

How do I get the scratches out of the forks I use 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper "wet" sand the scratches. Then 600 "wet" to get them smoother. I do the final finish with Scotchbrite 07448 Ultra Fine pads. This gives a finish almost spot on to the originals which weren't very well polished. For some added bling you can polish them on a buffing wheel, depending on what finish you are after. I am sure everyone has their own technique but this works for me.

Andre has described the proper way -- if you're lazy (like me) you can take your tarnished old stuff straight to the wheel. A scratch like that can be buffed away with the hard, black compound, switch to white foe a couple of passes and finally rouge (red). BAM! shiny! Andre saw my half done project and asked me when I was going to start .. ;D Necessity isn't the mother of invention, laziness is. Oh, yeh; wear a mask when buffing aluminum. I spent a couple of hours buffing clutch and stator covers one time... all proud, I run into the house to show my wife. She starts howling and asks who hired Al Jolson to polish my stuff..
