Hey guys, looking for a quick measurement if anyone has one of the OEM fork length on an H1. I'm looking for a rather specific measurement though: Looking to find the distance from the axle Centreline to the the TOP of the LOWER triple tree, like in this image below: i.imgur.com/PQSP0qQ.jpgI could deal with the early or later model, whichever people have! Also looking for the maximum travel on the fork if someone has that as well. Thanks in advance!

The measurement can vary on the late h1s depending on how far the triple clamps are slid down the tubes...
My late 500 front end is 21.5 inches fully extended.

Thanks J! Do you happen to know the measurement when the bike is sitting under it's own weight with no rider? I'm assuming you corrected the above measurement for the amount for the fork tubes were slid down?

The measurement I supplied is with the top edge of the fork tube cap about 1/16 inch above upper surface of the upper triple clamp.
My tapered headstock bearings spread the two triple clamps apart slightly (1/8 inch? ) from the stock configuration.
The dimension with weight on front end will vary greatly due to spring preload, spring rate, bike weight bias, weight of bike and "sticktion".
That said my unladen front end sag is about 1/2in. without rider..Typical stock H1 is often more than twice that..

Proper sag is in the 20-25% of travel range.....

true dat. A zip tie on the fork helps to mark the sag......

So you'd be thinking around 20.5" laden on a stock sprung late model (ball park), hm....! That's not too bad! I'm trying to see what kind of a drop I'd get with a few different front ends and trying to mix and match a few bits to get a stock height (ballpark) front end together!
Thanks!
