Unless it was actually raced by the guy and not just a tribute, it's just all stickers

Unless it was actually raced by the guy and not just a tribute, it's just all stickers Curtis, Curtis... This is an Egli Race bike frame done up in tribute to the actual racer. Look at the details bud: It's a large tube back-bone frame with the engine hanging from it (as a partial stressed member I believe). There are more detail pics available showing the triple clamps, etc, but this is a true custom from back in the day. 'Google' Fritz Egli, an you'll get some images of his work. To someone who appreciates what it is, it's worth a small fortune.

"Done as tribute" Still tribute, just sayin, a lot of money for stickers. The stickers are free. Well, let me see if I can put it in a context you'll understand. Hmmmm... O'k, how about this: Say you had an "actual H/D flat-tracker"... you know, the real deal. Then you painted it and put some stickers on it to be exactly like Jay Springsteen's AMA Championship winner. That's what you have here. A valuable race bike done up in tribute to a racer. The race bike is worth that dough alone. As said, the stickers are free.

It's a cool bike for sure, but starting at 23 grand, it's just a lot of money for essentially just a clone.
