They came in Red or Blue as far as I know Dave there is no paint codes to match. My replacement tank in Blue Paint names from kawi for 1970 Pearl Candytone Red, Pearl Candytone Blue I think the white side cover & oil tank were just pastel white Ask Roland to polish and match the paint. jarlef.no/Kawasaki/Other/Teck/A1A7SS.htm

Pearl candy tone blue is listed as the final coat for the 71 H1A. Allot depends on the underneath coat colours but maybe same colour you are after? kawtriple.com/mraxl/paint.htmlJ

WOW green eyed monster here for sure Dave. Its just like the one I had when I lived on Long Island back in 74. I used to go home to NY when fishin was done and do factory work. Lathe hand, milling machine jobs etc. That little Avenger got me to work almost all Winter long. lol Only had to mooch a ride or take a bus when it snowed. Sadened to have to part with the two twins I sold Rick.
But better days are comin'. . . .
Think I am going to sell off the H1D/E project that died on the table and rusted away this past Winter. Motor is all rebuilt and stuff, someone e;se can finish her up that can swing it.
Fix up lil greenie.
Good luck with that gem Dave and post lots of pics. (Bought 50 shares of Evaporust today)

Yeah, thats definately not very close to what the blue color was. Not all silvery like that one. Probably used a silver base coat. But the paint was much darker and had a real nice gloss to it as well. Of course that could very well be just fading from sun and age.

That looks close to my suggested H1A colour, which the paint codes are supplied in the link posted above. As 111 indicates, the base colour will determine the final colour of blue. m.ebay.com/itm/261663197081?nav=SEARCHJ

I compared Ian's tank with the H1a in Colorado and they do look very close. probably my painter has some paint left over from the H1a and H2 that he did for me with the same colour .

Well, for an incorrect all blue A7 , it looks pretty good. I cleaned the paint from around the filler and am waiting fior the little petcock filters and the oil tank level tube from Ellen. Maybe try to fire it up by next weekend. The snow went down by close to a foot, that's 30 cm for you youngsters, this week. Not yet, but soon we'll be riding.

Roland recommended Seal All, available at Canuck Tire. Apply it to the gas tank opening where you have removed the paint and make sure it overlaps the paint. It will seal the paint transition to bare metal and prevent the gas from screwing up that lovely paint job. I used it on my H1 after I had it painted. It's holding up well so far.

Put the rest of it together today. filled it with oil and mixed gas. The fuel cock doesn't work. No flow. I was in no mood to play with it more so I ordered a pingle from Andre. I guess I'll have to wait til next week to run it now.
