I know these questions are hard (impossible?) to answer... but... I need a starting point. What size carb should I start with on a modded G3?? Mild mods to start, like a fat pipe, foam air filter and that's about it to start. Mild porting, etc. later. It looks like a VM19 on there as a stocker. Rick went from 26mm to 34mm on a "much-modded" 175. I don't know if that helps the decision making process or not. I figure the "2 Stroke Geniuses" here should be able to shove me in the right direction. Come on. You know you wanna. Shove me, that is. Thots?

You will need to mod the rotary valve cover to take advantage of a carb that size though.

Ya, I think Walms is the "Keihin main jet and needle distributor" in Southern Ontario now!! Misery loves company... that's why he wants me to buy that carb. That... and he can sell me dozens of jets and needles from his own stash.

That would be a negative.. I'll never darken their doorway based on the piss poor service they gave me being the "official" Canadian Keihin dealer... In the end, I ended up complaining to Sudco about it and they agreed to sell to me direct.

I'm more of a "Mikuni Guy". I think Walms is on the right track size-wise though. I'm sure there'll be some "customization" involved here.

The G31M had a 24, so that's what I am going with.

I'm in Aberfoyle. Don't know if you remember but we swapped a XS11 for a Z1 LTD a couple years ago(the motor of which Fergus Warwick used with good success in his Harris frame) I also have A1 and A7 Carbs available and rotary valves galore
